It clicks shut and has the original metal picture retaining shims on both sides. It's hallmarked for sterling silver, dating to 1884. The total weight is 7. 17g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. There are some recesses and dents on the item as to be expected with age and use, mainly on the rear, see pictures video.
